News: Press Release #1
The North Shore Lifeguard
Association would like to present its latest service project. Asurf
safety poster is now available to local merchants, realtors and
individuals who share our interest in ocean safety education. These
full color, laminated posters display diagrams of four of the north
shores most popular beaches showing rip currents and other features. It
also includes big surf safety tips for both visitors and residents. The
surf safety poster was designed by Pat Kelly and Rick Williams, and
graphic layout was done by local artist John Bain. Funding for the
project was provided by quiksilver. According to the posters designers;
our goal is to have this valuable safety tool in every beachfront
vacation rental, classroom, surfshop, restaurant, and other public
areas on the north shore. Additionally we wish to share this with the
military, the visitors bureau, and all car rental agencies on oahu. If
you are a realtor, merchant, teacher, or are concerned for the safety
of our beach users please contact the North Shore Lifeguard Association
for your free surf safety poster. We can be reached at
www.lifeguard.org or 638-7226 / 638-8297. Thank you for helping us to
save lives...aloha | Click to see a
